Gal Gone Camping Explores Life On The Road

Hello Friends!

Do you ever think to yourself “There has got to be a better way?” Do you ever wonder what it would be like to do more of what you want to and less of what you have to?  Have you ever thought about an alternative lifestyle that would allow you to live the way you want to instead of the way society says you need to?  Do you feel trapped? Do you long for adventure? Well come along, as Gal Gone Camping explores life on the road!

If you answered Yes! to any of the questions above, chances are you were born with an adventurous spirit and you long for freedom from the “normal world.”  This may or may not come as a shock, but you are not “normal.” However, you are in the 10% population of society misfits and you are not crazy–you are unique! So lets look at some ideas on these thoughts…
Let me introduce you to….Gal Gone Camping! My name is Catrina Vargo, and I am just a part-time gypsy for now; exploring the possibility of a full-time nomadic life when my current responsibilities are done.

Part-time Gypsy…for now!

In the mean time, I live the mobile lifestyle as much as possible–traveling, writing about my adventures, and learning everything I can so that I will be prepared for the next chapter of my life.  Through this blog, I will share with you what I have learned about how to:

Travel Inexpensively
Live Simply
Live & Work on the Road
Camp Comfortably
& Much More!

Is This Blog For You?

This blog is for like-minded adventurous people who are interested in a mobile lifestyle, and whether they need to work or not, want to make an income. It is for those who enjoy
camping, RVing, van life, and all modes of travel; people who are thrifty and budget conscious, those seeking a simplistic lifestyle, or are interested in mobile living and working.

There’s nothing more freeing than an open road

It’s for individuals who like the idea of being off-grid, learning survival skills; wanting to be free from the rat race—having learned that less really is more.

There’s nothing more soothing than a campfire!

Find Your Adventure, Simplify Your Life,
Live Your Dream!

SIMPLICITY is the key!

Although the primary focus of this blog is camping/RVing/vanning and
living on the road, the basic idea is to simplify your life. How much simpler can you get than packing only what you need and hitting the road or the trail? Simple, yet very exciting–and very liberating! When I need to escape, that’s what I do. Everybody is different and these ideas will not appeal to everyone, but you’re not everyone–remember you are that select 10% group…you are a free spirit!

This site is a place to connect with fellow campers, RVers, van lifers, adventurers, travelers, entrepreneurs, creative gurus, nomads, and general gypsies—a place to share ideas, tips, and resources.

Gals AND Guys Welcome!

This site is for men and women.  I’m all about Girl Power and certainly encourage women to step outside of their comfort zone if they feel led to do something different, however, I want to speak to EVERYONE with these interests.  I will discuss many different things associated with this lifestyle.  I hope you find Gal Gone Camping interesting, fun, informative, and useful.

“Simplify your life.  Don’t waste the years struggling for things that are unimportant. Don’t burden yourself with possessions. Keep your needs and wants simple and enjoy what you have. Don’t destroy your peace of mind by looking back, worrying about the past. Live in the present. Simplify!”    Henry David Thoreau

Until next time, remember…DON’T WAIT TO LIVE!
See ya down the road…
