Want Or Need To Make An Income On The Road? Check Out These Ideas!

Have you ever dreamed of making a living while traveling the country? Here we will look at different options and learn how you can do it!

A few ideas for you to consider:

1. Check with your current employer.  Could your job possibly transition into a remote position? Of course many jobs cannot, but a lot can.  It’s worth checking out.

2. Become a Workamper. You could work various jobs at a campground, theme park, travel center, etc., and get a FHU  (full hook-up) campsite plus wages. Amazon also participates in this program–it’s called Amazon Camperforce. You can find out everything you need to know  at http://www.workamper.com

3. Start a blog.  If you have a knack for writing, you might want to start a monetized blog. I am doing this now so it will grow by the time I become a full time nomad.

4. E-Commerce–Start an online store. If you like the idea of selling products but don’t want the hassle of handling the inventory, an online store may be something you want to consider. You can sell on Amazon, Ebay, Etsy, start a Shopify store or sell directly on your website using whatever platform you choose.

5. Get into a (MLM) Multi Level Marketing Business. This is an old concept, but it still works. There are many MLM options out there such as:

Monat Hair Care Products–The beauty industry is huge and this is a best seller.
Neora Skin Care & Wellness Products–Who doesn’t want to look and feel better?  These products are amazing! I’ve tried them, they really work!
Paparazzi Jewelry–Very appealing due to the affordability of the items–plus they are beautiful!
Damsel in Defense–Security & Self Defense Products–primarily for women, but products for men and children available too.  I used to sell this; great company!                                            These are just a few MLM businesses, there are many more.  Find one that suits you!

6. Direct sales is a fun option.  Be a vendor and sell food, jewelry, crafts, or other items at fairs and festivals. Since you will have to carry inventory in your camper, it must be small, lightweight items. This is mostly a cash business, so that is a plus.  Just remember to be very cautious since you will be carrying fairly large sums of money.

7. Tech Jobs–If you are a “techy” you could work as a web designer, graphic artist, computer programmer, etc., all of which can be done with your clients online.

8. Freelance Writing–If you are good at writing articles, you could do freelance work for magazines, blogs, and journals.

9. Affiliate Marketing–Become an affiliate marketer for various companies.  You just sign up on their site and post links for their products on your website or Facebook page.  When someone clicks the link and makes a purchase, you get a percentage.  You must drive traffic to your site, so you need to have a platform of interest to a lot of people.

10. Teleworks & Flexjobs–These companies offer legitimate work from home jobs.  Most of them require you to be hard wired, meaning you must be directly plugged in to a modem and not WiFi.  However, if you are going to be at a certain location for some time, you could find a suitable location. There are some that can be done via WiFi or contract type work. Google Teleworks and Flexjobs to find out more. Tons of jobs are available!

These are just a few ideas to get you thinking; I hope you find them helpful. More will be added as I find them.
