Have you been thinking about a new rig or purchasing your first one? If one of your goals for 2020 is purchasing a new RV or camper, check out the RV shows in your area. These are fantastic opportunities to see many different types of RVs at one location, learn what’s new in the RV industry, ask questions, and compare prices.
If you live where two or three states border each other, be sure to check out all the shows–you may find a better deal at one than the other and certain dealers may be at one show and not the others. The more models you can view, the better.

Some of the larger shows charge a small admission fee, but from my experience, it’s worth it because they are an event in themselves with tons of other vendors related to outdoor recreation. There’s always concessions and usually prize drawings, give-aways, etc. These shows are a lot of fun! Even if you don’t intend to buy at that time, you will get ideas and inspiration for when you do decide to purchase that home on wheels!

RV Show Adventure In Hershey, PA
The mother of all RV shows in my opinion, is in Hershey, PA. It is always held in September at the Giant Center, right across from Hershey Park. I attended a few years ago and what an adventure that was! You can read about that at https://galgonecamping.com/2018/07/20/lessons-learned-on-the-road/

These shows are also a great way to network with the RV community and meet other folks who are interested in camping, travel, and other outdoor recreation. You can really learn a lot by attending RV shows–so yes, they are fun and educational! Following is a list of shows, state by state. Of course there are more but these are several to get you started.
